Fashion Platforms Shift by Season: Musinsa Leads, Ably and Zigzag Surge in SummerCreatrip Team
2 months ago
A market analysis by Embrain Deepdata finds South Korean shoppers switch fashion platforms by season. In last autumn Musinsa (a popular streetwear and basic-item platform) drew 1.2 million new users and maintained high use across seasons due to its staple styles and expanded categories. In summer, budget-focused marketplaces Ably and Zigzag (both host many bo-se shopping malls — 보세 쇼핑몰 — selling lower-priced, trend-driven items) saw strong gains, attracting 540,000 and 440,000 users respectively as consumers seek vacation outfits and fast-fashion trends. Fast delivery options like "today dispatch" and free returns appealed to women in their 20s–30s who prioritize immediate wear. Chinese ultra‑low‑cost platform Shein (쉬인) also pulled about 500,000 users with sub-10,000 KRW items targeting Gen Z. Industry experts say platforms that tailor seasonal shopping experiences, not just discounts, will build loyalty.
