From October 21–31 at Gallery In Schwabing (Daebong-dong), artist Lee Kyung-hee presents her 25th solo exhibition featuring new works titled "Bloom and Moon." Inspired by moments like spring’s fresh green sprouts and the brief glow of autumn leaves, Lee paints nature’s fleeting bloom and pairs it with the moon as a symbol of eternity. After a career as an elementary art teacher and advanced studies at Keimyung University, she retired early about ten years ago to work full-time as an artist. Her new pieces are more restrained in color and form than earlier vibrant works, exploring depth and inner reflection. Recurring motifs include flowers (representing all blossoming nature) and the moon (symbolizing permanence), and some works incorporate sparkling jewels, crowns, and gold leaf. Lee hopes viewers will pause, linger before the paintings, and discover a new light within themselves. The exhibition runs through October 31. Gallery phone: 053-257-1728.
