South Korea’s home-beauty device market is rapidly evolving toward science-backed smart gadgets as demand for at-home skin care grows. APR introduced the upgraded “High Focus Shot Plus,” using a “double focus shot” to stimulate dermis (1.8mm) and fascia (4.5mm) layers to boost collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin for firmer contours; it features an integrated, cartridge-free design and uniform plate electrodes. LG Household & Health Care unveiled the RF-based “Superform Thermashot Ultimate,” a multi-function device combining 16 RF frequencies, electroporation (EP), microcurrent (MC), and muscle stimulation (EMS) to improve deep skin radiance and elasticity, with an app for personalized routines. Amorepacific will release “Onface,” a micro-LED mask first shown at IFA 2025, in November; its 3,770 micro-LEDs on a single flexible panel showed strong elastin increases in trials. Market forecasts expect continued growth: Korea’s market rose from about 500 billion KRW (2018) to 1.6 trillion KRW (2022) and could reach 3.4 trillion KRW by 2030, while the global market may expand from $14 billion (2022) to $89.8 billion by 2030.
