Singer-turned-visual artist Kwon Ji-an (Solbi) presents her solo exhibition “Rhythm of Language” at Cheongmundang near Kyungpook National University North Gate through November 22. The show features her signature Humming Letter series—works inspired by feelings of longing and gratitude after her father’s passing, expressed as hummed melodies rather than words—and the Apple series, which reclaims online taunts (“Can you at least draw an apple?”) by transforming the 26 letters of the alphabet into apple-shaped fonts and metal/aluminum sculptures. The exhibition includes interactive elements: an AI music-generation program producing natural sounds, a participatory “My Humming Drawing” space where visitors record hummed melodies and see them visualized, and weekend workshops (Oct 25–Nov 15) to reconstruct Apple pieces in 3D and make miniature apple and alphabet beads with 3D printers. The opening on Oct 21 at 4 PM features a talk with the artist and a Korean dance performance, and the show is closed Sundays, Mondays and public holidays. (Cheongmundang is a local cultural complex.)
