At the DDP Design Fair in Seoul’s Dongdaemun, lifestyle brands showcased tactile, experience-focused products that let visitors touch and customize items like pillows and keyrings. The fair, organized by 29CM (a Muji‑style online retailer) and the Seoul city government, used an 'apartment' concept to present K‑lifestyle living ideas and featured brands appealing to MZ generation tastes such as glamour, rest, food, and practicality. Organizers emphasized experience-based retail—brands now curate lifestyles rather than just sell goods—as Korea’s home‑furnishing market has more than doubled since 2010 and is expected to exceed 20 trillion won this year. Muji‑like retailer Musinsa’s 29CM is expanding beyond fashion into living, kitchen, and stationery categories, staging offline events to deepen brand experience ahead of Musinsa’s planned IPO.
