K-Health Brand Yeonglong Signs MOU with Chinese MCN Hougu to Target Local MarketCreatrip Team
5 months ago
Yeonglong, a premium health supplement brand founded by pharmacists in Busan in 2019, has signed a strategic MOU with Chinese MCN (multi-channel network) company Hougu (후고) to accelerate entry into China. This is Hougu’s first partnership with a Korean health supplement brand and focuses on content-driven local marketing and distribution collaboration. Yeonglong, which promotes the philosophy “Young + Long,” has grown rapidly at home and abroad—doubling sales in 2023—and expanded into Singapore, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. In 2024 it was named a Rising Brand Seller on global e-commerce platform Shopee. Hougu, with 23 years of experience in cultural content and city projects and strong influencer (왕홍) marketing capabilities, recorded cumulative sales of 60 billion KRW and will use its content and digital distribution strengths to help Yeonglong build brand awareness in China. Market research expects China’s health supplement market to reach about 347.5 billion CNY (approx. 70 trillion KRW) in 2024 and grow further in 2025, driven by aging, inner-beauty trends, and rising health consciousness—boosting demand for premium K-health products. Yeonglong plans to go beyond simple export, leveraging Hougu’s MCN infrastructure and wanghong (Chinese influencers) network for localized, content-led branding. The company is also expanding across ASEAN, China, and the Middle East and pursuing halal-certified product lines for diverse markets.
