A pop-up In-N-Out burger event in Seoul’s Gangnam district drew crowds hours before its 11 a.m. opening, with some fans arriving as early as 3:30 a.m. The limited 4-hour event offered 450 servings of three menu items (Double-Double, Animal Style, Protein Style), but over 470 people were already queued, stretching more than 300 meters. Visitors included MZ generation youth (Korean term for Millennials and Gen Z), soldiers, expats and older customers. In-N-Out, founded in California in 1948 and known for fresh ingredients and a simple menu, typically operates pop-ups in Korea due to its policy of running only company-owned stores worldwide. The brand has used periodic pop-ups since registering its trademark in Korea to maintain rights, though some see these events as market tests ahead of possible expansion.
