Pocheon City Hosts Successful 'Idong Galbi Cooking Show' to Boost Food TourismCreatrip Team

Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province successfully held the 'Idong Galbi (beef short ribs) Cooking Show' on October 8th at the Hantangang Eco-Scenic Park. The event aimed to enhance food tourism in northern Gyeonggi by promoting Pocheon's signature dish, Idong Galbi. Korean chef Oh Se-deuk, known for his appearances on JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' and Netflix's 'Black and White Chef,' showcased a recipe for 'Idong Galbi Pepper Stir-fry.' 20 teams pre-registered for a cooking class where they learned to cook the dish, while 200 spectators attended the cooking show. A tourist commented on the unique experience and the combination of food and travel. Pocheon Mayor Baek Yeong-hyun expressed intentions to continue expanding tourism content based on Pocheon's local food culture.
