Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province successfully held the 'Idong Galbi (beef short ribs) Cooking Show' on October 8th at the Hantangang Eco-Scenic Park. The event aimed to enhance food tourism in northern Gyeonggi by promoting Pocheon's signature dish, Idong Galbi. Korean chef Oh Se-deuk, known for his appearances on JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' and Netflix's 'Black and White Chef,' showcased a recipe for 'Idong Galbi Pepper Stir-fry.' 20 teams pre-registered for a cooking class where they learned to cook the dish, while 200 spectators attended the cooking show. A tourist commented on the unique experience and the combination of food and travel. Pocheon Mayor Baek Yeong-hyun expressed intentions to continue expanding tourism content based on Pocheon's local food culture.
