Korean pianist brothers Heuk Lee and Hyo Lee have advanced to the third round of the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition held in Warsaw, Poland. This event has drawn attention as it may produce the next 'post-Seong-Jin Cho,' referencing the South Korean pianist who won the competition in 2015. Of the 40 pianists in the second round, only 20 advanced to the third round, including two South Koreans. The final round will take place from October 18 to 20, where participants will perform Chopin piano concertos with an orchestra and a specially chosen "Polonaise Fantaisie," which is considered crucial in showcasing musical depth over technical skill.
