The 2025 Chuncheon Makguksu Dakgalbi Festival will take place from November 16 to 19, transforming the Gongjicheon area in Chuncheon, South Korea, into a comprehensive gastronomy and culture festival. Moving beyond a simple food event, this festival aims to integrate the entire city into a celebration of food and culture. Notably, this year will feature 10 famous dakgalbi (Korean spicy stir-fried chicken) and 5 makguksu (buckwheat noodles) restaurants. The festival emphasises sustainability by creating car-free zones and offering shuttle and bus services. Diverse performances, including popular musicians and YouTube influencers, will also be featured, making it an engaging event for all ages. This festival is part of Chuncheon's effort to globalize its local cuisine. Highlights include themed zones, local brands, and cultural exhibitions.
