Seoul International Music Festival (SIMF) is celebrating its 17th edition from October 30 to November 6 at various venues in Seoul, such as the Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Center, and Lotte Concert Hall. This year's theme, 'Dance with Me', features a series of performances highlighting western dance music like waltz, tango, and ballet. The festival aims to energize audiences with lively performances led by music director Ryu Jaejoon. It will feature international artists such as famed cellist Gary Hoffman, hornist Radek Baborak, and conductor Kirill Karabits. Various themed events will take place, including 'Dance and Horn' featuring Piazzolla's 'History of Tango' and 'Dance with Beethoven' featuring Beethoven's cello sonatas. The festival will close with a special performance of Toru Takemitsu's viola concerto to commemorate Korea-Japan diplomatic relations.
