Violin Recital by Kim Hyunji and Piano Ensemble Pastoral Debut Concert

Violinist Kim Hyunji will perform a solo recital on February 25th at the Youngsan Art Hall in Seoul. Kim, who studied at Ewha Womans University and furthered her studies in the U.S., has been a member of prestigious orchestras and is now an active performer in South Korea. The program includes works by Schubert, Szymanowski, Schnittke, and Chopin.
On March 4th, the Piano Ensemble Pastoral will hold its debut concert at the same venue. The ensemble comprises graduates from Sungshin Women's University who have studied abroad and won various competitions. They will perform orchestral works by Bach, Schumann, Liszt, Wagner, and Beethoven adapted for two pianos and eight hands. Their rendition of Beethoven's Symphony 'Pastoral' is particularly significant as it shares the name with the ensemble.
