"Hope for Youth and Regions": Plans for National Youth Arts Groups in Korea

The Korean Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Yoo In-chon, announced plans to establish four national youth arts groups in non-metropolitan areas this year. These groups will specialize in theater, traditional dance, traditional Korean performing arts (known as 'jeong-ak'), and orchestras. This initiative aims to provide opportunities for young artists trained in the National Arts Groups Youth Education Program, giving them additional application points if they choose to join these new entities. Yoo visited an evaluation event, expressing the importance of enhancing directorial skills among participants. The goal is to offer substantial chances to young talented artists across various regions in Korea.
