Linking Islands Near Gunsan Creates New Tourist AttractionCreatrip Team
2 months ago
Five islands off the coast of Gunsan in the West Sea are being connected by a new trail set to open next year. The islands—Maldo, Bonongdo, Myeongdo, Gwangdaedo, and Bangchukdo—are now part of a tourism project aimed at promoting unique island experiences. A new bridge opened between Maldo and Bonongdo, offering better access for visitors. Notably, Myeongdo is home to Alina from Russia, who runs a guesthouse and yacht tours, and Bangchukdo features "Deoksuni," a guide dog that leads visitors around the island. The area is gaining attention for its scenic trails and local cuisine, including fresh seafood dishes.
