Naju Yeongsan River Festival Attracts 150,000 Visitors on Day One

The Naju Yeongsan River Festival in Jeollanam-do, South Korea, recorded a noteworthy first day attendance of 150,000 visitors, surpassing Naju's population of around 117,000. Celebrated from October 8-12, 2025, locals as well as visitors from neighboring regions came to enjoy a variety of foods at food trucks and the Yeongsan River Culinary Hall, as well as a large cosmos flower garden. Popular activities include crossing the Yeongsan River via footbridges, witnessing creative performances, and attending music concerts by artists like Song Ga-in and Kim Yong-bin. The event, aiming to become a national garden landmark, also features a creative musical depicting the story of Empress Janghwa from the Goryeo Dynasty.
