Maximizing Holiday Breaks Through Strategic Leave Usage in KoreaCreatrip Team
2 months ago
As the long Chuseok and Foundation Day holidays end in South Korea, employees are now looking to maximize their future holiday breaks using smart leave strategies. Notably, taking a single day off on December 26th could extend the Christmas break to four days. Additionally, by using leave on December 31st and January 2nd, workers can create a five-day mini holiday into the new year. In 2025, the Lunar New Year break can also be extended to nine days by adding two days of leave. While there aren't many extended breaks next year, notable leave opportunities occur around May holidays and Buddhist festivals. A very long holiday like the current year's might not come again until Chuseok 2044, where a single leave day can result in a 10-day holiday. Employers and workers alike are encouraged to use leave days judiciously to create longer rest periods.
