The 17th Seoul International Music Festival will take place from October 30 to November 6 across Seoul. With the theme 'Dance with Me,' it aims to share the vitality and joy of classical music through dance forms like waltz, tango, and ballet. The festival opens at the Lotte Concert Hall, featuring works like Mozart and Piazzolla's tango. An array of performances will follow, including chamber music and orchestras celebrating composers from Beethoven to Tchaikovsky.
On November 6, the festival concludes with a special concert commemorating 60 years of Korea-Japan relations featuring Takemitsu's composition. Emphasizing the rhythmic essence of music, director Ryu Jae-joon seeks to offer joy and vitality amidst social challenges.
