Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Seoul's LG Arts Center, the renowned German choreographer Pina Bausch's iconic work 'Carnation' will be staged once again in Korea this November. Known for pioneering the 'Tanztheater' genre, which blends elements of dance and theater, Bausch changed the course of 20th-century performing arts. 'Carnation,' first performed in 1982, uses a visually stunning stage covered with thousands of pink carnations to explore themes of hope, reality, humor, and oppression. This tour brings together dancers from the original 1980s performances with new talent, honoring Bausch's legacy and showcasing the future of Tanztheater Wuppertal.
