Donghae City Re-evaluates 21 Exemplary Restaurants to Elevate Dining CultureCreatrip Team
2 months ago
Donghae City in Gangwon Province, South Korea, has announced a re-evaluation of its designated 'Exemplary Restaurants' to improve health and hygiene standards. Currently, 25 establishments have been recognized for exceptional cleanliness and efficient practices. The re-evaluation will exclude four restaurants appointed within the last year, focusing on 21 locations from December 13-17. This initiative aligns with upcoming changes, shifting towards a 'Restaurant Hygiene Grade System' by 2028, and aims to seamlessly transition current exemplary restaurants to this new system. The city plans to provide support, including on-site consulting, to facilitate this transition. Finalized establishments will receive various benefits such as signage, reductions in water fees, support for facility improvements, and exemptions from inspections for two years. The objective of this project is to play a leading role in enhancing Donghae's dining culture.
