Despite the forecast of rain on October 5th, the day before Chuseok (Korean harvest festival), over 23,000 people visited the four major national parks in Gangwon Province, South Korea. This includes Seoraksan, Odaesan, Chiaksan, and Taebaeksan National Parks, each welcoming thousands of tourists. Major attractions like the cable cars at Jeongseon Garirwangsan and the popular Wonju Sogeumsan Grand Valley contributed to the influx. Concurrent festivals in Pyeongchang and nearby regions like the 2025 Pyeongchang Eco Light and various fall festivals helped attract visitors amid the long holiday season, known as the 'Golden Holiday'.
