The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in Korea is organizing a refund event at 158 traditional markets across the country from January 23 to 27. During this event, consumers who purchase domestic seafood can receive a refund in the form of 'Onnuri Gift Certificates', equivalent to 30% of their purchase, up to a maximum of 20,000 KRW per person. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden during the Lunar New Year holiday (설 명절). Consumers can collect receipts over the event period and present them at designated booths for verification and refund. Additionally, mobile refund stations will be set up at regional five-day markets to facilitate this process. The event is supported by various government departments to ensure its success.
