Sinan County in South Korea is gaining attention in the gourmet market for its 'Premium 1004 Oysters,' grown in the pristine tidal flats of the area, listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. These oysters are being supplied to fine dining restaurants and luxury hotels in the Seoul metro area. Since their distribution began in October last year, these oysters are recognized by Michelin chefs worldwide for their quality. Produced using an 'exposed farming method' suitable for the western coastline's natural environment, they develop uniformly with vibrant color and rich flavor. Unlike regular oysters, they do not develop reproductive organs, allowing year-round distribution, and can be stored at low temperatures to maintain freshness. Sinan County is enhancing hygiene standards and aims to acquire the ASC certification for sustainable seafood by March. Governor Park Woo-ryang aims to establish the 1004 oysters as a globally recognized brand.
