Tenor Jonas Kaufmann Brings 'Magic of the Moment' to Korea

Renowned tenor Jonas Kaufmann, often hailed as 'the world's greatest tenor', will perform in Seoul's Lotte Concert Hall on March 4 and 7 after a decade-long hiatus from performing in Korea. Known for his passion for emotional delivery through music, Kaufmann will present two concerts, one focusing on art songs (lieder) and the other on opera. He describes singing lieder as the pinnacle of vocal artistry, offering 'magic of the moment' to audiences. Kaufmann attributes his love for art songs to his mentor, pianist Helmut Deutsch. He emphasizes the profound impact of opera at its peak, capable of changing lives through its emotionally condensed form. Kaufmann's concerts will feature collaborations with Deutsch and conductor Jochen Rieder leading the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra.
