Lotte Chilsung Joins '4 Trillion Won Club' in Beverage Industry but Faces Domestic Challenges

Lotte Chilsung Beverage became the first comprehensive beverage company in South Korea to surpass 4 trillion won in sales last year, thanks largely to its overseas business expansions in countries like the Philippines and its sugar-free beverages. Despite this achievement, domestic market sluggishness led to a decrease in operating profit. Lotte Chilsung plans to focus on expanding further in international markets and improving profitability domestically by reducing fixed costs and enhancing cash flow. The company's international sales grew almost threefold, while core domestic beverage sales declined. Lotte Chilsung aims to increase its overseas sales ratio from 37% to 40% this year, particularly betting on growth in markets like the Philippines and Myanmar.
