South Korea added 44 new confirmed cases yesterday with local infections within Seoul metropolitan area and Gwangju and imported cases. According to Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), as of midnight of today, the country marked 13,417 confirmed cases with 44 increased from yesterday.
Among the 44 new confirmed cases, 21 were local infections and 23 were imported. For domestic infections per region, Gyeonggi-do had the most with 8 cases and was followed by Seoul 7, Gwangju 5, and Daejeon 1. For imported cases, 12 were confirmed in the quarantine phase, Gyeonggi 9, and each 1 for Jeonbuk and Gyeongnam.
34 were discharged from isolation and a total of 12,178 are discharged. Currently, 950 are under isolation. A total of 289 deceased with one case added and the fatality rate is 2.15%.
