BTS SUGA is under fire for his sampling of cult leader Jim Jones' speech in his mixtape D-2.
Two weeks ago, on May 22nd, SUGA released his solo album D-2, which contained a track titled "What do you think?" that sampled a part of Jim Jone's speech, which became a huge issue among the ARMY and the public for its inappropriate use of the cult leader's speech.
Big Hit Entertainment stated that the producer wasn't fully aware of who the speaker was and there was zero intention. However, the controversy is still there despite the official apology, and people still felt that SUGA may have known about the speech and its source. The people pointed to the fact that Big Hit Entertainment made an apology, not the artist himself.

More and more K-POP idols support the #BlackLivesMatter movement using their social media as a platform to speak up.
Johnny from NCT, Yeri from Red Velvet, Hwasa from MAMAMOO posted stories or posts on Instagram, how they are supporting them from Korea. BTS and MONSTA X showed support for the movement with a tweet on the same day.
BTS wrote, "We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together. #BlackLivesMatter."
MONSTA X supported the movement as well, stating "we stand together for equality, justice, and dignity." Many of Korean artists and other idols raised their voice to spread the awareness of this situation for George Floyd's murder.
Park Bo Gum Joining Navy Military This August?!

Actor Park Bo Gum applied to join the Navy Band of Korea and is waiting for the interview results.
On June 2nd, Blossom Entertainment, the actor's agency announced that "Park Bo Gum has applied for the Navy's Cultural Promotional Team and had their interview on 1st."
According to some sources, Park Bo Gum's decision to join the Navy Band was reportedly influenced by his father, who also served in the Navy. The result of the interview will be out on June 25th.
BLACKPINK's Lisa Got Scammed by Former Manager

Lisa from BLACKPINK fell victim to a fraud committed by an ex-manager.
On June 2nd, BLACKPINK's agency YG Entertainment announced that a former manager of BLACKPINK's committed scam on Lisa for taking 1B KRW (approx. 827k USD) from her. The ex-manager offered Lisa to take care of her real estate business, but he wasted his money on gambling. The manager reimbursed some of the damages and agreed to resign after negotiating on the reimbursement plan.
YG added "Lisa wished to resolve this issue smoothly, so both parties agreed on the reimbursement plan and resignation. We are working to prevent and control measures so that this type of issues won't happen ever again."
