If New York has Central Park, Seoul has Seoul Forest! Seoul Forest is a landmark of Seoul that is second to none. If you want to escape from the busy city, Juwon Oppa strongly recommends you come here. You'll be able to relax and become one with nature and even have a picnic. Oppa will also introduce you to nice places around Seoul Forest.
Under Stand Avenue

It looks similar to Common Ground in Kondae (Konkuk University), but it's a complex cultural space made up solely of industrial shipping containers. In fact, Under Stand Avenue is an innovative start-up platform that nurtures the dreams of young entrepreneurs, so it is more than just a comprehensive cultural space!

There are various cafes, food, and shopping stores so it's good to stop by before or after you go to the forest.
Seoul Forest

Horse Statue

Before Seoul Forest was established, this area was used to raise racehorses hence why the horse statue was created.
Mirror Pond

Its name came from the clear reflection you get on the surface of the pond.

Follow the long path along the pond and take in the beautiful scenery. It will freshen your body and mind.

There are many benches and tables around Seoul Forest so you can take a rest or even have a picnic.
Tulip Garden

Seoul Forest has its own Tulip Garden. This is a hotspot for the bride and groom to take their wedding photos. Hundreds and thousands of couples have visited this garden to take beautiful photos with the flowers.
You want to visit in April if you want to catch the tulips.

Central Lake

Central Lake is a large lake in the center of Seoul Forest. Han River is also famous for picnics but so is Seoul Forest. Seoul Forest lets you enjoy more green scenery than Han River.

It's a great place to relax and to take cool Instagram pictures.
Ginko Tree Forest

This Gingko tree forest is right next to Central Lake. If you take pictures here, focus on the trees and make the person look small like the picture above and the photo will turn out stunning.
Children's Garden

Another fantastic spot for taking pictures! You can find an impressive wooden structured house in Seoul Forest. Try to find the coolest wooden house and take a picture in front!
Atelier Street

As soon as you come out of Seoul Forest Station Exit 5 you'll find yourself in front of Atelier Street. The red brick buildings are the characteristics of Atelier Street. It's pleasing to the eyes.

There are cafes, clothing shops and stationery shops along this street.
Center Coffee

An attractive cafe with an excellent rooftop view is located in front of Seoul Forest Station Exit 4.

The rooftop is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee on a nice breezy day.

Seongsu-dong Galbi Alley

A famous alley where it's full of galbi (short rib) restaurants!

There are restaurants that have been in this alley for over 20 years. Try your Korean galbi here to find out what's so special that it was able to serve hungry patrons for 20 years.
Market Onoff

This area has a lot of Insta-popular restaurants. I visited one of the famous restaurant here called Market Onoff.

You can have plain and simple Korean food here. I ordered Jeyuk-Bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork).

It looks almost like a simple cafe, but it is a restaurant where you can enjoy a traditional Korean meal. The food here is healthy and flavours not overly strong.
Did you like Oppa's tour around Seoul Forest? I had a great time going around and hope you'll visit Seoul Forest to feel what I felt.
