Spots Worth Only One Visit

"I've Been There ... Once ..." What are the Places in Seoul that You don't Feel Like Revisiting?

Spots Worth Only One Visit

Hello, everyone! We are Creatrip, a group of Korean travel experts.

I often hear people asking, where do you want to go in Korea? Where to go for shopping, touring, and etc. But there are some places that everyone go, and then think "Well, I'll never come here again."

Today, I'm here to give honest info on some of Seoul's attractions. It's enough to visit once. It's actually no fun to go the second and third times. If you want to share your experience, you can also secretly let me know.

Good for One Visit Only

1. Namiseom (Nami Island)

Spots Worth Only One Visit

In fact, this is a bit vague, but what I want to say is, don't visit Nami Island again in the same season. In the autumn, you can see the maple leaves and ginkgo. In winter, snow covered scenery(or maybe not...). In the spring, a variety of flowers. So it changes by the season, but what you see is basically the same thing.

I do recommend you to visit Nami Island twice, but go there when the season has changed.

Good for One Visit Only

2. Libraries

Spots Worth Only One Visit

There are a lot of library attractions in Seoul, but many of them are just for taking photos and uploading on Instagram to check in. No need to revisit. After all, what can you do after taking pictures. The library attractions provide you with good angles and lights. But if my friend asks me to go to the Starry Library that I have already visited, I'm definitely going to refuse.

So what I suggest is that you go to libraries to take photos, but don't think of visiting twice.

3. Namsan

Spots Worth Only One Visit

I wonder what everyone thinks about Namsan? Although you can see the beautiful scenery of below and the beautiful night scenery in autumn and winter, it is actually a scenic spot to go once and never go again.

Spots Worth Only One Visit

Especially at the N Seoul Tower Observation Deck, I've never really seen anyone who visited twice.

Good for One Visit Only

4. Incheon Chinatown

Spots Worth Only One Visit

Incheon’s biggest attraction, “Chinatown”, is a landmark here, but I’ve actually once visited it and had a nice experience. But I don't think I'm going to go all the way to Incheon from Seoul to visit Chinatown again.

Spots Worth Only One Visit

But there are more beautiful places to walk in Incheon. If you want to take a different trip, I recommend you to go around other places in Incheon.

Good for One Visit Only

5. Ewha Women's University

Spots Worth Only One Visit

The best season to visit Ewha University is probably autumn! The maple leaves are full, and the magnificent Ewha square blends into the scenery behind, which is impressive. But when I went back in the summer, I don’t know why but it felt less beautiful. Didn't you think so?

Spots Worth Only One Visit

As more and more people say, Ewha street is too crowded to visit, so it seems that it's not necessary to come here. If you have been to Ewha already, I recommend visiting other places.

Good for One Visit Only

6. Tongin Market

Spots Worth Only One Visit

Tongin Market is best known for its 'bento,' the retro copper made food can. It was delicious and the visit to the market was overall a nice experience, but I'll think twice before going there again.

Spots Worth Only One Visit

There are other traditional markets in Seoul, such as Mangwon and Gongduk. So instead of visiting Tongin twice, try out other markets too!

Good for One Visit Only

7. DDP

Spots Worth Only One Visit

DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) is one of the landmarks in the Dongdaemun area. After the removal of the sea of roses, however, there seems to be no need to go there again unless there is a special exhibition or performance there.

Spots Worth Only One Visit

Moreover, my personal visit to Dongdaemun itself was a bit boring. Sungryemun, DDP and so on are almost nothing new. It seemed that all the merchants and photographers happened to be relocated here, and there are people who speak Chinese everywhere.

Good for One Visit Only

8. Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain

Spots Worth Only One Visit

I still remember that when I went to see for the first time The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain of Banpo Bridge, which is limited by the season. I was a little disappointed to see it. It's not that it's not beautiful, but it feels like "Umm... Okay".

Spots Worth Only One Visit

There are also many Han River Parks each with their own unique characteristics. If you have seen the beautiful Banpo Han River Park, you can also go to other Han River Parks in Seoul for some new joy.

Good for One Visit Only

9. Dokkaebi Night Market

Spots Worth Only One Visit

This night market is really small, and I really feel that it is good to visit once, but I really don’t have any intention to go to this place again.

Spots Worth Only One Visit

Although it is limited to the summer, the number of people is decreasing every time. If you have stayed overnight at the night market in the past few years already, even if you come back to Korea later, you don't need to make special arrangements because they are no different from before.

Good for One Visit Only

10. Common Ground

Spots Worth Only One Visit

Common Ground is really for taking photos. It will probably be remembered by fans for a lifetime when posting it on Instagram. Besides the function of photo shooting, there is only a bit of the shopping areas inside, but it is not as good as a shopping mall visit.

Spots Worth Only One Visit

If you happen to go to Konkuk University, I recommend going to the Common Underground just once, and the next time you can move to Konkuk Business District and Konkuk Campus. Add some variety you know.

The above is what I think, the list of places you need to visit in South Korea just once. I don’t really need to go there again next time. I wonder if everyone has this feeling.
