Crashin Yongsan | Guesthouse Recommended for Solo Travelers

When you are traveling solo, it can be surprisingly hard to find a place where you can truly relax and feel comfortable.

Even if you just want to organize your luggage or take a quick break, being in an unfamiliar space can make you feel like you have to pay attention to every little thing, which can be tiring.

Especially when you are on your own, it also feels important to know whether you can quickly get the items you need or ask for help right away.

“Crash” means stopping by to rest comfortably, like crashing at a friend’s place, and “Crashin Yongsan” is an accommodation that brings that concept to life through its space and the way it works.

From easy check-in to rental boxes and guidance via LINE, we were able to take care of whatever we needed right away during our stay.

Our editor tried out Crashin Yongsan in person, and we will walk you through it step by step.

Crashin Yongsan | Why We Recommend It

  • 'Crashin Yongsan' is based on the experience of “staying at a friend’s place in Seoul,” it’s a lodging where solo travelers can feel both comfort and security. You can use it at a more reasonable price than a hotel, while enjoying a stable environment focused on cleanliness and safety.
  • Rooms are operated as single room for one person, and you can choose between rooms with a private bathroom or rooms that use a shared bathroom depending on your schedule and budget.
  • Rooms and bedding are continuously maintained so you can stay in a comfortable condition during your stay. Bedding is kept at hotel-level condition so you can use it comfortably without extra preparation. For long stays, a room tidying service is provided so your room stays in consistent condition while you’re here.
  • Access is managed by kiosks and smart keys, and entry is restricted to non-guests, creating a controlled environment where you can stay without security worries.
  • You can borrow necessary items for free through the rental box, such as chargers, emergency medicine, umbrellas, and women’s care products. You can rent items you need while on the go, reducing the burden of packing.
  • LINE communication is another feature. Guidance is provided from the reservation stage, and inquiries can be handled during your stay. There’s a contact system that can help even outside of lodging-related matters, so you can stay without discomfort in an unfamiliar environment.

Crashin Yongsan | Our Visit

Today, Our editor tried staying at “Crashin Yongsan,” located in Yongsan.

“Crashin Yongsan” is a solo-traveler-only accommodation designed to make it easy and comfortable for guests traveling alone.

It’s located near Yongsan Station, with great access to major routes and destinations like Seoul Station and Myeongdong, making it a convenient place to stay even while moving around.

Another key feature is how everything you need, from easy check-in to the rental box and LINE guidance, is handled in one place, so you can solve things quickly whenever you need to during your stay.

Seoul Station is crowded and has a complex layout, so it’s easy to get confused about where to go.

On top of that, Our editor had a lot of luggage, so getting around felt like a burden. But stopping by the accommodation first to drop off bags also felt like a hassle and a waste of time.

So Our editor decided to use the “Transit Lounge Yongsan” option that includes a shuttle boarding ticket.

It’s a system where you can get picked up directly at Seoul Station, travel to the transit lounge, rest or take a shower there, then continue on to Myeongdong Station!

A staff member will be waiting for you in front of Exit 15 of Seoul Station at the time you were informed in advance.

They help you right away as soon as you arrive, so it’s easy to move around even at the busy Seoul Station.

You can find them by looking for the flag they’re holding.

The design stands out even from far away, so it was easy to spot the meeting point right away.

The staff personally carries your luggage to the vehicle, so you don’t need to haul your bags yourself.

Thanks to that, it was easy to move even with a suitcase and lots of luggage.

Not having to worry about luggage from the moment we met the staff was honestly the most comfortable part of the experience!

The vehicle was also kept clean, so it felt comfortable from the moment we got in.

They opened the door and loaded the luggage without us even needing to ask, so we could just sit down and get ready to go without extra hassle!

Also, since it’s located in Yongsan with great access to major attractions and travel routes, it’s a convenient location to use during your trip.

After using “Transit Lounge Yongsan” and finishing the day’s plans, Our editor returned to the accommodation to check in. (🔗Learn more about Transit Lounge Yongsan)

The building operates with restricted access to outsiders, and you must enter a separate passcode at the entrance to get inside.

As a result, only guests can enter, which was reassuring and allowed for a more secure stay.

Check-in is done through a kiosk.

You can check in immediately by entering the reservation information you received in advance, the process was simple and fast with no waiting!

It supports multiple languages in addition to Korean, so it’s set up to be easy for international guests as well.

Once check-in is complete, a printed receipt is issued with instructions.

The receipt includes your room number and the password you need for entry, so you can go straight in without a physical key card.

In addition to the printed receipt, a mobile smart key is also provided.

You can set the password yourself, which makes security more flexible, and it was convenient not having to carry a separate card or key.

The door opens automatically when you press the lock button on the smart-key screen in front of the door, so you can enter and exit right away without extra steps.

When we entered the room, the luggage we had left during the Seoul Station pickup had already been delivered.

Being able to leave our luggage at Seoul Station and continue traveling made it much easier to get around without feeling weighed down.

And when we came back after finishing the day, the bags were already waiting in the room, which was especially convenient since we didn’t need to worry about moving or storing them.

The bed was set up with hotel-quality bedding.

With a goose-down duvet and duck-down pillow, it felt light but cozy, and it was easy to rest comfortably without any strain.

It felt like the tension naturally melted away when you lay down, making it a great place to truly relax.

A night light was installed next to the bed, making it convenient even in the dark.

It felt safe in real use since you can move around a little at night as needed.

The room felt spacious for solo use, and since storage was built in, it felt even bigger and more comfortable.

In particular, you can use the space under the bed to store a suitcase, which helps the room look less cramped and stay neat.

The layout made it easy to take your luggage out when needed and put it away again, which was very convenient in actual use.

The room came fully equipped with essentials like air conditioning, a TV, and a refrigerator.

Since you can use each facility individually, it’s very convenient during your stay, and it’s practical for storing drinks or simple food items too.

Everything you need is included, so it’s easy to settle in comfortably without having to prepare anything extra.

There were plenty of towels, so we had more than enough without needing to request extra.

Even though it’s a single room, the generous supply made it easy to stay without hassle, and a hair dryer was also provided, which was convenient since there was no need to pack one.

Inside the room, usage guidelines were neatly organized, so you can quickly check any information you need.

Guidance is provided in multiple languages for international guests, which made it easy to use.

There was also a simple table in the room, which made the space very practical.

It was great for comfortably eating delivery food or takeout Korean food, and it was also useful for setting down luggage temporarily or organizing your things!

It’s large enough to open a laptop and do light work or plan your schedule, making it a good environment for using your time efficiently even while traveling.

Basic items that are easy to overlook, like hangers and indoor slippers, were all provided, so it was easy to use.

Thanks to the thoughtful details, it felt like a place where you can stay right away without needing to bring anything extra.

Our editor stayed in a room type with a private in-room bathroom, so we also took a look at the bathroom.

First, it was spacious, and it was kept clean, fresh, and comfortable to use.

The sink area and shower were set up together, making it easy to move around and use.

Hot water came out quickly, so showering was comfortable with no inconvenience.

There was plenty of counter space around the sink, making it easy to place toiletries, and overall it felt very well maintained and clean.

Even during a shower, there were no space constraints, so it was easy and comfortable in real use!

Each room is stocked with basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, so there’s no need to prepare anything separately.

With everything you need provided, it’s a great setup for packing lighter and staying comfortably.

Next, we’ll also show you the shared bathrooms.

The shared bathrooms are located on the second floor, and you can use them right away by going up the stairs!

First, let us introduce the first shared bathroom!

Indoor slippers were provided at the entrance, so you can change into them right away.

There were also plenty of towels stocked separately, so you can use them comfortably without bringing your own, and we really liked that you can use them freely without a strict limit.

The shared bathroom had a cozy size with soft lighting, so you can use it in a relaxing atmosphere.

The shower area is set up in a Korean-style seated-washing layout, which feels much more stable than standing, and in actual use it felt comfortable and easy with no strain!

Next is the second shared bathroom.

In front of the shared bathroom, there was a vanity area where you can quickly get ready, making it easy to use after washing up or showering.

A water purifier was also placed next to it, which felt convenient since you can use it right after bathing.

Various items were prepared on the vanity as well, so you can use what you need without packing extras, and even if you’re using the first shared bathroom, this space also looks great to use together!

The second shared bathroom is noticeably larger than the others, and it feels very spacious.

Both the shower area and sink area are comfortably sized, so it’s pleasant to use, and the amenities are stocked the same way, so there’s no need to prepare anything separately.

After showering, you can put used towels in the collection bin set up in front of the shared bathroom.

It was easy and convenient since you don’t need to bring them back to your room.

Next, we’ll introduce the shared facilities. First is the front area near the entrance.

With cozy lighting and tasteful decor, it creates a relaxed atmosphere overall, and it’s set up so you can quickly check guidance or ask questions here when needed, which made it convenient.

Contact information and various details were also neatly organized, which felt safe and convenient since it’s easy to find what you need even on your first visit.

The instructions were clear so you can get help right away if needed through a phone line.

You can easily ask questions using the phone, and basic guidance is also organized there, so it’s easy to use even if it’s your first time visiting.

There were also simple amenities like earplugs and soap available, which felt practical since you can freely take what you need!

One of our favorite features was the rental box, where you can freely use a wide range of items.

From electronics-related items like multi adapters, chargers, batteries, and a travel luggage scale, to basic amenities like toothpaste and soap, everything was carefully stocked. There were also basic first-aid supplies like emergency medicine, bandages, and ointment, so you can take them out and use them right away when needed.

For the basic medicines, each one had a memo attached, clearly explaining what it’s used for.

Thanks to that, it was easy to choose the right item without needing to ask, and overall we could feel the thoughtful, guest-focused management.

You can also borrow items you might suddenly need during your trip, like an iron, and umbrellas are available too, which made it easier to get around without being too affected by the weather.

On top of that, frequently used items like an iron and tape were also stocked separately, so you can tidy your clothes or reorganize your luggage right away, and it felt much easier since you don’t need to prepare them yourself.

CCTV is installed throughout the shared spaces, and overall security management felt systematic and well organized.

Since the interior situation can be monitored in real time, it seemed like a place where even solo guests can stay with peace of mind.

Next, let us introduce the shared kitchen area!

In front of the shared kitchen, towels and tissues were generously stocked for free use, so you can conveniently grab what you need anytime.

There was also a water purifier where you can get hot and cold water right away, and above it, coffee, tea bags, and paper cups were prepared, which is more than enough for enjoying a simple drink.

An induction cooktop was provided for simple cooking, and basic cookware and tableware were also available, so you can start using them right away!

An electric kettle was also available, making it easy to prepare simple drinks or cup noodles, and trays were provided for carrying food or dishes back to your room, which made moving things around easier.

There was also a sink, so you can wash used dishes right away, and dish soap and hand wash were provided too, making it convenient to use.

There was also a separate area for disposing of food waste, which was great because you don’t need to keep trash in your room, helping you keep your space cleaner.

The longer you stay, the more important shared-facility convenience becomes, and you can really feel that this place was designed with real usage in mind.

From simple meals to preparing drinks, the environment is set up so you can manage comfortably, making it easy to maintain a pleasant day-to-day routine.

A microwave and toaster were also available, making it easy to heat up quick meals or prepare simple foods.

The toaster is great for bread or an easy brunch, and with the microwave too, you have lots of flexible options.

A freezer was also provided, which is useful for storing simple ingredients or for longer stays as well.

Basic tableware like plates, bowls, and mugs was also provided, so you can use them without bringing your own.

Since different types of dishes were neatly organized, it’s easy to use them appropriately for anything from a simple meal to drinks.

On one side of the shared kitchen, basic seasonings were also prepared, which is convenient for simple cooking.

With cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar, and more provided, you can make basic dishes without needing to bring seasonings yourself.

As long as you buy a few simple ingredients, you can start cooking right away, making it a great option for both long-term stays and short visits without any pressure.

It also seemed like a fun experience to pick up a few ingredients at a mart and try cooking Korean food yourself!

That wraps up our stay at “Crashin Yongsan.”

More than just a place to sleep, the biggest highlight of “Crashin Yongsan” is that it’s designed to make even your solo downtime feel comfortable and easy.

From easy check-in to the rental box and guidance via LINE, you can take care of what you need all in one place, making the stay smooth and hassle-free.

And with a setup that prioritizes both security and management, it’s also a great option for solo guests who want to stay without worry.

We’d recommend this accommodation to anyone traveling alone or looking for a quiet place to stay.
