Our Visit

Today, I visited Shihwa Studio in Hongdae, where you can shoot with a variety of trendy concepts. It's the perfect place to pick a theme that suits your style and capture unforgettable photos!

I arrived at the studio and changed into comfortable indoor shoes.

As I stepped inside, I could see that the shooting space had been set up according to the pre-determined concept.

Inside the studio, there is not only a space for taking photos but also a dressing room.

Next to the changing room, there is a waiting area where you can choose or change your clothes. There are cute and unique costumes prepared, so it's fun to look around.

I'll change my clothes before we start the main shoot.

Various hair accessories are also prepared. I like that you can choose and wear accessories according to your chosen concept.

There is a tidy vanity table with a variety of accessories and hair items, making it convenient to style your hair.

I choose a simple hairstyling to match the concept.

After braiding my hair to match the Hanbok, I added a ribbon and pinned a decorative accessory. The photographer asked which side of my face I wanted to highlight, and then placed the accessories accordingly. I was impressed by the level of detail in considering the direction of my face!

Finally, a slight touch-up on the makeup, and I'm ready for the shoot.

Before starting the shoot, they showed example photos to explain how best to take them.

Now let's start shooting!

Disney music was playing on the set, helping to ease the tension before filming.

Once I entered the filming set and took my place, the director personally adjusted my outfit and nearby props appropriately.

After a few test shots, they showed us how the photos would look. Seeing the results right away helped me understand how to pose for a better shot!

We kept shooting, and using different props made the photos even more vibrant. At first, using the props felt a bit awkward, but the photographer showed us how, so I just followed along. As long as you follow their directions, you'll end up with beautiful photos!

The photo session lasted about 10–20 minutes, and I loved that they let us take some time for selfies afterward. It felt like a real bonus to snap selfies in such a beautiful studio!

Now it’s time to pick a photo. Most of them turned out great, so it was tough to choose. Luckily, the photographer quickly recommended the best ones, making it much easier!

After selecting the photos, we moved on to detailed editing. The one-on-one editing process was tailored to my preferences, which helped me get even better results!

Ta-da! The prints are ready. You get one single photo print and a four-photo print as well.

After wearing beautiful outfits and getting the photos perfectly edited, I ended up with pictures I truly loved. You can even capture the printed photos again at the various photo zones around the studio!

Now it's time to move on to the second concept. This one has a fun pink, peachy vibe!

For this concept, the outfit was pajamas, perfect for a cozy and cute vibe. There are about four different styles of pajamas to choose from, so you can pick your favorite!

Once you’ve changed into your outfit, they’ll help you pick the perfect hair accessory.

I chose a simple hair accessory for an easy style and added a cute necklace that matched the pajamas perfectly.

Just like before, I made a small adjustment to my makeup. For this concept, they suggested a bold blush, so I applied it generously.

Just seeing the props they had prepared made me feel cute and lovely!

Now, it’s time to start the main shoot. Once again, with the photographer's enthusiastic guidance, even someone like me who felt awkward in front of the camera could feel comfortable.

I took photos in various poses using the cute props. The trendy concept combined pink peach accessories with the adorable pajamas perfectly.

After the shoot, we moved on to selecting the photos. The photographer was a great help in guiding me through the choices.

They edited the final chosen photos and placed them in a lovely frame! The framed photos are saved as digital files, which you receive right away. The photo size is perfect for social media, so there’s no cropping when you upload it, which is great!

Just like with the Hanbok concept shoot, I received two printed photos in total. It was such a fun and unique experience shooting with a fresh concept that you don’t often come across!

If you’re looking to capture yourself in different concepts, I highly recommend Shihwa Studio in Hongdae! You’ll get a private, one-on-one session with the photographer, and thanks to their detailed guidance, even first-timers can easily take amazing photos. Plus, being in the heart of Hongdae, you can explore great restaurants and cute cafes before or after your shoot!
