Inventions By TVXQ Yunho, K-pop's Invention King

TVXQ's Yunho, who recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of his debut, has shared that his hobby is to invent.

Due to his passion for inventions that have been always on fire, Yunho took the first place on the survey 'Celebrity Who Will Suit The Best At Patent Office'!

Even though he is going through a constantly busy schedule, he always manages to find time to invent something new and creative. What's more impressive is that he even manages to get his inventions patented!>

Let's take a look at some of his great inventions.

Mask

The special feature of this mask is that it has a lid attached that can be opened and closed.

When Yunho was inventing this mask, he thought "I wear a mask every day, but drinking water is challenging with a mask on. Is there a way to drink water more quickly?" and started inventing this mask.

This mask was officially registered on March 16, 2020, after applying for a mask-related design patent.

The description of the design states that, "Even with a mask on, you can easily open the lid and have a drink and have conversations with others without any problem."

This handy mask was co-invented with Yunho's friend, Shin-hyeon (Instagram @ 85st_coffee). He kindly uploaded a video on how to use it!

This is a very practical item indeed.

Double Cup

The next item to introduce is called 'Double Cup', which is the very first-ever item that Yunho registered.

Double Cup can hold a capsule. Once you add the capsule and insert two straws, one in the cup and one in the capsule, you can easily enjoy two drinks from one cup.

In summary, you can have two drinks from one cup! Using this cup is environmentally friendly and you will have fun switching between drinks.

Cup Lid With An Attached Capsule

Similar to Double Cup, Yunho and Shin-hyeon's invention allows capsules to be attached to the lid, so that you can drink two different types of drinks from one cup.

This design is also patented.

Smile Mask

From the YouTube show Invention King, Yunho received a mission from the production team, "Try your best to make pedestrians distinguish you with a mask on."

And this is the result! Yunho made a mask with a picture of the lower half of his face. He even encouraged citizens to try it on and made the viewers laugh.

Many netizens also said that this is a perfect mask to not lose your smile on your face.

Yunho mentioned "The source of my energy is coming from curiosity, and I keep a record of many ideas that I usually think of in order to express my curiosity. I have the personality to take challenges seriously and have no fear of failure".

Umbrella Rain Absorber

From the second episode of the 'Invention King', Yunho made a handy version of an umbrella rain absorber.

He placed a sponge inside the flexible pipes so that users can place their folded umbrellas. The picture below is the demonstration from Yunho!

Yunho got more than excited to show his invention to the patent attorney. However, it was already invented and registered as a patent.

Toothpaste and Toothbrush Attached

This episode was hilarious!

Their goal of the episode was to create items related to oral care. Yunho came up with this item (in only five minutes) that is a mix of toothpaste and water inside the spray bottle.

You can spray the liquid inside the mouth, and use the toothbrush that is attached to the spray bottle.

The most interesting fact was the patent attorney mentioned that there is nothing like this item listed as a patent. This could be developed and registered as a patent perhaps!

Karaoke At Home

From the fourth episode of Invention King, their goal was to invent a karaoke that can be enjoyed at home.

The key point was to reduce the noise to the max. Yunho and his friend, Shin-hyeon used countless paper egg tray to reduce the sound!

The picture below is Yunho wearing a box with paper egg trays attached on each side.

Another item that they created is a mini karaoke booth. They mainly used cardboard boxes to form the cubicle, and attached paper egg trays inside.

This also passed the noise reduction test by the producer team.

However, the patent attorney said that there are items listed as patents already that are similar to what Yunho and his friend invented.

Cake Plates

This item is to solve the inconvenience when you are eating a cake with a group of people.

Yunho created a tray that can be used as plates, which can be divided into eight pieces!

This way, people can have their piece of cake easily without having an issue of grabbing a bunch of plates and forks.

However, this one was also listed as a patent. Don't worry as another of his invention still has a chance!

This was Yunho's first idea that he came up with; the layers of plates can be spread out so that consumers can use the bottom as their plate.

This one isn't listed yet on the patent, and on September 8, there was news released that Yunho visited the Korean Intellectual Property Office.

Maybe he made his way to register this plate!
