A source has revealed that the actor sold the building of his famous cafe 89 Mansion and purchased a luxurious villa*.
Lee Jong-suk purchased his cafe building in the prominent Sinsadong area for 3.9B KRW (approx. 3.3M USD) in 2016. He then remodelled the building and operated it as a dining cafe. However, 89 Mansion announced its closure in September 2020 due to difficulties of running a business during a long-term global pandemic.
Lee sold the building for 5.95B KRW last month, meaning he pocketed a profit of over 2B KRW (approx. 1.7M USD).

At the same time, the source mentioned that he purchased a luxurious villa unit at Nine One Hannam for 5B KRW (approx. 4.2M USD), located close to the multicultural Itaewon area.
Nine One Hannam is said to be home to many Korean celebrities including G-Dragon, Jeon Ji-hyun and Jang Yoon-jeong, as well as families of the Lotte conglomerate. Members of BTS and actor Bae Yong-joon are also said to have showed interest in the Nine One Hannam villas.

Lee Jong-suk is currently serving his military duties as a public service worker and will be discharged in January 2021. Although many of his fans are sad about 89 Mansion closing down, everyone is excited for him to return to K-dramas and movies next year!
