Our Visit
When you enter the restaurant, you will discover decor that is very clean, fresh, and illuminated by bright lights. The tableware is very Taiwanese.
If you are also really curious about more Taiwanese flavors, you can buy ingredients from the restaurant to use at home.
The menu is displayed in Chinese and Korean (they'll be happy to help you if you don't know either). There are 3 main soup broths to use in your hot pot: vegetable and chicken flavor, milk-cheese flavor, and spicy mala sauce flavor. Second, you choose your meat and vegetables to add.
Hot pot is a very vegetarian-friendly option as you can easily omit the meat and add only a wide range of vegetable to the broth.
The presentation is instagram-worthy and colorful. It is always appetizing and fresh.
The meat is served fresh. It is cut thinly so that it cooks easily and completely in the broth, absorbing the flavor of the broth and adding its own meaty flavor to the broth in return.
It is also possible (and recommended) that you add noodles to the hot pot as well. There are a variety of noodles available, each one just as good as the last. You can also get rice on the side. But don't dump the rice into the broth!
One of the most important parts of any hot pot experience is the sauce! There are a plethora of sauce bases and ingredients that you can add. This way, every customer can experience with different combinations and find a unique flavor that is perfect for them.
Pictured above is the milk-cheese broth (on the left) and the chicken broth (on the right). You should definitely warm it up and try a spoonful of the broth before you start adding the ingredients.
Once everything is ready and prepared, your table will take on this mouth-watering topography. You won't know where to start. Just remember that there is no wrong answer..
Once all the vegetables and meat are completely cooked, you are free to dip them into your homemade sauce and explore the flavors of Taiwan. If you close your eyes, it's possible to imagine that you are truly in Taiwan in that moment. It's just that authentic.
Outside of the meat and vegetables, there are other interesting ingredients that you can add to your hot pot, including these delicious dumplings filled with fish eggs.
Also, they acquired genuine drinks from Taiwan that are extremely difficult to find in Korea!
Pictured here are the fish balls, cheese balls, and cauliflower shrimp that you can add to your meal. I highly recommend that you try them all!
