Seokpajeong, once a vacation house of Heungseon Daewongun (the father of King Gojong) is worth a visit for travelers and residents who want to experience the royal hanok architecture surrounded by a beautiful courtyard and nature.

Step into the museum and you'll be greeted with the ticket office. Purchase your tickets depending on what you want to see; it's ₩5,500 if you want to check out Seokpajeong only and ₩11,000 if you want to explore both Seokpajeong and the museum.
The Seokpajeong pavilion boasts views of Seoul at a variety of altitudes and angles. Once you exit Seokpajeong, re-entry is not permitted so determine what time you'd want to head outside beforehand!
The stunning hanok buildings mingled with greenery and nature makes this place perfect for a short getaway from the concrete city vibes.
The exhibitions feature works of local and international artists, most of them temporary. It's a definite must for travelers and visitors who are interested in checking out local arts scenes.
