There are two branches, one in Hongdae and one in Sinsa-dong. This review is of our visit to the Sinsa location. Let's check it out together!

Our Visit

Entrance to The Famous Burger restaurant owned by South Korean rapper Loco, featuring a burger sign at the door.

Loco is a South Korean rapper. In 2012, he participated in Mnet's first season of "Show Me The Money" and won first place! After that, he not only wrote songs and performed, but also appeared on variety shows. His personality was quite cute, which was a surprise from his usual image, making him rise in popularity.

He opened 2 branches of The Famous Burger in 2017 – one in Hongdae and one in Sinsa-dong. We made a visit to the Sinsa-dong location!

At the entrance, there's a big hamburger hanging at the door! Let's go in and have a look.

As soon as you enter the restaurant, you can see that The Famous Burger is not super big, but the decorations are really nice!

There are nine different types of burgers you can order, and for an additional 5,000 KRW, you can get it as a set (fries + a drink). Personally, it is a bit pricey, but the taste is worth it! We ordered the Famous Burger - Single and the Famous Chicken Burger, both as sets.

First, you'll get a soda, which comes in a can, so you won't have to worry about it getting flat!

Famous Burger - Single 8,000 KRW

The Famous Burger is a beef burger, but the beef patty is different from others that I've had at general fast food chains. The beef here is super juicy; it's to the point where the juice drips out when you pick it up! The seasoning on the burger is also perfect – it isn't too salty, and pairs well with the cheese and ketchup.

The Famous Chicken Burger featuring large fried chicken patty, fries, and salad.

We also got the Famous Chicken Burger, which is a fried chicken burger. Look how big the fried chicken is – it's bigger than the hamburger itself! It was delicious and not too dry, but the seasoning wasn't anything too special. I prefer original fried chicken, perhaps.

I want to point out that the beef burger was extremely soft and tender though, different from a hamburger you'd get at a general fast food chain.

The fries were super good too! They were better than McDonald's fries as they were very crispy, and the salad was fresh as well. Overall, it was a great meal!

To sum it up, despite being on the pricier side, the burgers were pretty good. The Hongdae location was actually used as a filming spot for NCT DREAM, so if you're an NCTzen, you should definitely make a visit!
