What to Expect
Today, let's explore 'Seohwa Hanbok,' a rental shop offering a diverse and beautiful selection of traditional Hanbok dresses. Conveniently situated just a minute's walk from Gyeongbokgung Station, it's directly in front of the elevator if you're coming from the Gyeongbokgung direction. Its prime location ensures easy accessibility for visitors.
When you enter inside, you will be greeted by colorful hanboks.
The hanboks at Seohwa Hanbok are neatly organized by size and type. One standout feature of this shop is the uniform pricing. Whether you're interested in traditional, fusion, or special Hanbok styles, the price remains consistent. There's no need to upgrade or make additional payments after booking a specific hanbok. Once you arrive with a reservation, you're free to select any hanbok of your choice, regardless of its type.
Another perk is that you can try on up to two different hanboks. This allows you to select your top two choices and then finalize the one that fits you best.
Situated close to Gyeongbokgung, it's easy to head straight to the palace after renting your Hanbok. While at Gyeongbokgung Palace, don't miss the chance to snap photos against the backdrop of the stone wall path and the lush grass. The vibrant colors of the hanbok contrast beautifully with the natural surroundings.
When taking photos with a friend, the vibrant colors of both our hanboks shine through, creating a lively ambiance. Yet, even in solo shots, the unique character of the hanbok stands out. To wrap up our introduction to traditional Korean hanbok, I'll share some sample photos to inspire your choice of photo zones and poses!
