Oppa Tells You ㅣNamdaemun Market
Those of you who've heard of Namdaemun Market, but have no idea where to eat and how to travel the place, gather up!
From now on, Creatrip's Oppa will go through the full schedule of a Namdaemun day tour!
Namdaemun Market (Hoehyeon Station Exit 5)
1. Kalguksu Alley
Here, you can have kalguksu, bibim naengmyeon, barley rice at a cheap price range of ₩6000-₩7000!
It's a place with a long, unique history of selling kalguksu all around the alley!
2. Hairtail Alley
If you go a bit further up from the Kalguksu Alley, you can check out the Hairtail Alley! The whole alley is full of hairtail restaurants! We recommend to people who enjoy eating fish. It's at the market, so it has an affordable price with large portions!
Jungang Galchi Sikdang
3. Namdaemun Market's Major Products
Dongkyeong Food
A place that sells dried goods, including dried strawberries, frequented by foreign customers!
Jangan Sangsa
Other than just strawberries, Jangan Sangsa is full of various dry fruits and vegetable products!
You can communicate Japanese and Chinese as well, and also purchase health products such as hongsam and ginseng at this store.
This is a partnership store where you can get a Creatrip member 10% discount, and buy dried strawberries worth ₩10000 at ₩9000!
We also provide pick-up services so that you can receive your goods at the airport on your way home.
Check out 'Dried Strawberry Airport Pick-up Service' more details.
Military Uniform Alley
You can also find a unique military uniform alley, which only sells military goods such as military jumpers and military bags.
Kid Wear Shopping Street
Most of the items are cheap, but they also sell items that are more expensive but of high quality.
4. Vegetable Hoddeok
It's a hot place that people queue even in the rain to eat!
They sell hoddeok filled with vegetables with soy sauce spread on top.
The price is only ₩1000, and it's delicious and filling enough to replace a meal! Worth every penny!
5. Sungnyemun
Korea's National Treasure No.1, Sungnyemun!
No.1 doesn't mean that it's the most important, but it is a national treasure that's very precious to Korea/
It's located in the middle of Seoul, surrounded by very different modern buildings, creating an exotic harmony.
6. Seoullo 7017
It was used as an elevated highway since 1970, and instead of being torn down in 2017, they decided to reuse the past highway and turn it into a walkable trail, hence the "7017".
If you walk along the Seoullo trail, you can bask in the amazing night scenery of the past Seoul Station.
The past Seoul Station, like Seoullo, no longer serves its initial purpose, and is currently used for display purposes.
The past Seoul Station, and Seoullo 7017's amazing night view! Don't miss it!
