Busan Lotte World, Opening Next Year!

When you think about amusement parks in Korea, Seoul's Lotte World or Everland probably come to your mind first. However! In Busan, Korea's second largest city, an amusement park over 4 times the size of Seoul's Lotte World is under construction, and is due to open in 2021. That's definitely something to look forward to!

Busan Lotte World

In the Busan area, there was no major amusement park representing Busan, but finally in May, 2018, they've begun the construction of an amusement park 4 times the size of Seoul's Lotte World! It's to be located near the East Busan Lotte Outlet Complex, and its name is (Lotte World) Magic Forest.

A nation-scale amusement park is about to set foot in Busan. With an investment of 500 billion KRW (over 400 million USD), and covering over 500,000 square meters, it's planned to not only have an amusement park, but also contain leisure parks themed around camping and adventure. It's even going to have an aquarium, going beyond that of Haeundae, to be the largest-scale aquarium in all of Asia.

Currently, there are more and more pictures being released showing what the park will look like when complete. Seeing the pictures, it seems traveling Busan will become an even more fulfilling experience!

Are you as excited as we are? When Busan Lotte World is open in May, 2021, I'm really excited to try going there!
