Asura is a popular franchise in Busan. Great service and unique dishes probably played big roles too, but the biggest factor of its success must be because the food is really amazing. I highly highly recommend this place!
The store isn't super big, but lots of space is provided for each table. The cute decorations throughout the store give it a comfortable vibe.
We got there a little bit early to see their process of making the meat rolls. The rolls are made with fresh meats every day. The rolls are very healthy as perilla leaves, green onions and bean sprouts are rolled up together.😍
We ordered the two people set written at the top of the menu. The set included one portion of meat rolls and one plate of meat pancakes.
The owner grills the meat himself so you can pay full attention to eating. Look at how he's placed the meat rolls on the grill! Very aesthetically pleasing. ✨
Once the meat rolls are set up, kimchi and tofu go on the grill. They were good appetizers during my wait for the meat to be cooked. They go really great with alcoholic beverages too.
The meat pancakes were served when the meat rolls on the grill were almost cooked. Such generous amounts! I couldn't believe this was a two people set.
The owner suggested we try enjoying these meat dishes in a variety of ways.
First, we wrapped the meat roll in a perilla leaf. The perilla leaf added a good aromatic flavour to the meat.
The sweet and sour radish was a different experience too!
And of course, meat with kimchi!
I also tried a piece of the meat pancake with the vegetables. So good!
Dip it in the sauce too...
We really went for it. 😋
