1. Store Atmosphere and a Wide Selection of Glasses and Sunglasses
We arrived at GANA OPTICAL, located in Myeongdong, Seoul!
GANA OPTICAL is a long-established optical shop in Myeongdong with over 30 years of history.
When our editor visited, the store was bustling with customers. We noticed especially many international visitors, and we also saw the staff assisting customers in foreign languages.
The store displayed glasses frames in a variety of designs. From simple, classic styles to unique fashion frames, there was a wide range to choose from, making it easy to find a pair that suits your personal taste.

We could personally check whether distant objects were clear and whether there was any dizziness or discomfort. It was especially satisfying to be able to confirm how the glasses felt when actually worn before deciding on the lens prescription.

Once the eye exam and prescription check are complete, the glasses-making process begins!

6. Blue Light-Blocking Lens Demonstration

Blue light-blocking lenses filter out some of the blue light emitted by smartphone and computer screens. When Our editor visited, a staff member also gave a demonstration showing the features of blue light-blocking lenses.
When the lens was placed in front of a light-emitting device, we could see that the appearance of the light passing through the lens changed! It was fascinating to see the features of the lens, which we had previously only heard about, with our own eyes.
However, this demonstration is intended to show the lens's light-filtering properties and does not indicate that it improves eye health.
