Tago Coffee | A Local Hideaway Cafe In Haeundae, Busan
Bring yourself to a tranquil atmosphere with warm wooden touches in a local cafe alley hidden from the bustles of Haeundae.
When people go to Haeundae, most rush excitedly to the beach. But there's a small area along Haeridan Road (opposite the beach from Haeundae station) with cafes and shops with each of their own characteristic, not often visited by tourists.
For those who want a more localized experience of Busan, I highly recommend you visit these alleys in the back after exploring the key areas of Haeundae and enjoy the sense of comfort Tago brings you. Creatrip members can get ₩500 off a drink!
Due to the spread of COVID-19, the number of people allowed and business hours may be limited, or a vaccine pass may be required.

Haeundae Cafe:Tago | Why We Recommend It
- The alley on Haeridan Road behind Haeundae station is only known to local people. Tago was the first cafe to open up here which makes its presence even more meaningful.
- Tago is a pet-friendly cafe and also has a residing shop dog who wants guests to play with.
- The cafe's specialty drink is 흑생커피 which is similar to nitrogen coffee. What makes it more special is the generosity of a free shot to those who require the extra caffein kick or a flavour adjustment.

Haeundae Cafe:Tago | Reviews
Tago's sign is different from most Korean cafe signs that resemble those in America. Tago, my recently discovered favourite, displays white walls on the outside which makes the place feel mysterious.
Tago is on the fake second floor which explains the decoration on the door, you'll see what I mean when you walk in.
When I walked in, I felt like I had travelled through time and space. The furnishing is very elegant along with the illumination of light and shadow. It made me feel like being inside a movie scene.
This is the most beautiful spot of the cafe with a large glass window that lets warm sunlights in. I personally think this is the most Instagram worthy spot at Tago.
The other seats also have the classic vibes. The colours, textures and decorations made me feel like I was sitting at a cafe or a tea room in Korea from two decades ago.
Simple furnishings, elegant tones and pieces placed in every corner make a great combination. Tago Coffee represents Haeundae Haeridan Road's cafes well.
How great does the food and drinks of this small Busan neighbourhood look? Let's take a look one by one.
Black Sesame Latte (Discontinued)
This specialty latte has a unique flavour (in a good way). The bitter flavour of the coffee and the aroma of black sesame balances the flavours out well.
Nitrogen Coffee (Discontinued)
This is Tago's number one specialty drink which is similar to nitrogen coffee but lighter in coffee taste. Customers can request an extra shot for free to adjust the flavour to their liking.
I asked when this cake will be taken off the menu and the owner replied with, "I don't know." This answer reminded me of the characteristics of Haeridan Road's first cafe, cute and free-spirited.
We were very lucky to have tried the black sesame latte, the strawberry cake and nitrogen coffee on our visit. Unfortunately, they're discontinued now. However, there are new menus we can get excited about!
Let's take a look at their 2021 edition of new deliciousness.
Nutty Brown 6,000 won
Talk about a perfect beach drink! With this newly released drink, you get a glass full of latte topped with aromatic almond cream.
Tago Sandwich 7,000 won
Just look at the colours! You get a load of nutrients in this sandwich made of multi-grain bread, Korean beef patty, red cabbage, cheese, tomato, carrot, egg and two of their housemade sauces.
Come in for brunch or a light lunch after your time around Haeundae and refresh with the sandwich and drinks.
As well, Tago Coffee has a charming outdoor seating area. Unfortunately when I visited it was quite chilly, I had to run back inside after taking a couple of photos.
If the weather is nice and warm, it would be nice to sit outside and enjoy the breeze.
