The Gabaedo Samcheong Branch I will introduce today is located in Samcheongdong which is an iconic place in Korea known for being beautiful and having a peaceful atmosphere. The sunlight that comes through the first floor is really pretty, and from the second floor you can look down upon the roads of Samcheongdong. Also if the weather outside is good you can go to the beautiful terrace outside and enjoy your drink there.

Our Visit
Gabaedo is really attractive starting from the entrance. Photos taken here come out really great so even if they don't enter the cafe, a lot of people take photos in front of the Gabaedo entrance.
If you go inside you will be able to feel more attractive things about Gabaedo. The space between tables are big and the interior design is really clean.
The table and furniture inside the cafe are all different. Following Gabaedo's own beliefs, all the furniture is imported from England or the USA.
The other props located at Gabaedo add to the comfortable atmosphere.
If you open the door next to mirror you will be able to find the stairs that lead up to the second floor.
The space on the second floor isn't that spacious but you can drink beverages while looking down at the beautiful roads of Samcheongdong. If there are a lot of people on the first floor, come up to the second floor and peacefully enjoy coffee!
I ordered the iconic menu items of Gabaedo after I came down to the first floor which are the Tiramisu (7,000KRW), Panna cotta (5,000KRW), Ice Malcha Latte (6,500KRW).
Panna cotta is an Italian pudding where they boil whip cream and sugar to create a vanilla smell and then add gelatin and harden it to make it cold. If you eat it while pouring espresso on top, you will feel a great combination between the sweet dessert and the bitter taste of coffee.
The tiramisu at Gabaedo is an iconic menu item that is created in house. There are 3 types (Regular, Malcha, Earl Grey). It is really popular that a lot of people get it to go.
I took a spoonful and ate it.... it was really good! It was the best tiramisu that I have tasted so far. The chewy texture together with the sweet cream created a taste that I really enjoyed. If you come to Gabaedo, you have to try the tiramisu.
The Malcha Latte that I ordered together was also really good. I ordered the Malcha Latte and the Regular Tiramisu but if you order coffee when you visit, I recommend you order the Malcha Tiramisu.
My friend who came together with me ordered the flat white. The latte art was really pretty but a lot of people come to Gabaedo for their great coffee taste.
When the weather is good, you can enjoy coffee at their outside terrace while enjoying the fresh air.
Take beautiful photos in front of the bamboo forest located at the main entrance of Gabaedo. The photos come out really good!
If you visit Bukchon Hanok Village or Samcheongdong, make sure to come to Gabaedo and enjoy tasty coffee and desserts!
How to Get There
Come out of Exit 1 of Anguk Station and go straight. Turn right when you see Shinhan Bank. Go straight following Doldam-gil. If you go into the alley where the Emart 24 convenience store is you will be able to to see Gabaedo on your left.
Turn right after you come out of Exit 1 of Anguk Station.
Go straight for one block.
Turn right on the next alley.
Go straight while you follow Doldam-gil.
Keep on going straight.
When the cross section comes up keep on going straight in the direction of the arrow.
If you walk a little bit more you will be able to see the Gabaedo building on your left.
This is the backdoor of Gabaedo Samcheong Branch. You can enter the cafe through the backdoor
or through the main door.
