Korean Chicken! Don't order Kyochon if you like drumsticks? Kyochon's rank in the Korean chicken Market?

The Korean Internet was recently hot with a photo about the main parts used in each fried chicken brand store. This is very interesting, because usually when we order Korean chicken, we order a chicken, but it isn't really the whole of a chicken. Certain parts are in more quantity than others.
So, which part takes up the most? Try and guess which part is the most used according to your experience. However, because each store is different, everyone should just use this article as a reference.
As you can see from the picture above, the most commonly used parts are chicken wings, chicken breasts, chicken legs, thighs, and buttoks, and the main parts used by each Korean chicken brand are different.
✔ Kyochon
When it comes to Korean chicken, most people think of Kyochon chicken. Among all the chicken parts, Kyochon mainly used the thighs and chicken breast. Did you know this?
But I have to say that there are quite a lot of drumsticks when you order a chicken from Kyochon, which must be great for people who like this part.
✔ NENE Chicken
NENE Chicken was also mentioned, and the main part used was the chicken breast. I personally enjoy NENE, and I agree that there aren't many legs in it.
People who prefer the drumsticks may want to exclude NENE from their options as chicken breasts are the main focus here. For those people, Kyochon would be a better option.
But more specifically, Nene was mentioned for its usage of chicken buttocks, quite unique right?
✔ BHC
BHC was told to use both chicken breasts and chicken legs mainly, similar to Kyochon. I actually ordered it a few times, and it was true, since at least the proportion of legs was more than NENE.
I'm not entirely sure about this, but because BHC uses a lot of legs, it was a good alternative to a proper meal. It's not so stuffy like when there's a lot of chicken breasts.
✔ BBQ Chicken
BBQ chicken may be less popular for tourists, but it is also very famous in Korea.
BBQ was remarked for its usage of hind legs. They are very delicious. The texture is something in between the chicken thighs and the chicken breasts. It's really chewy, and my personal favourite
Therefore, you might think that you only get a small portion when you order from BBQ , but in fact, it uses mainly the small parts of a chicken, so it is indeed a smaller meal, but the quantity is compensated by the quality since it's Amazing. It's no wonder that BBQ is ranked first place in Korea for having the most branches. (1,659 stores nationwide).
✔ Other Chicken Brands
As you've already seen from the pic, there's information on other brand recommendation according to your preferences. It can be a good reference for you.
- Thighs : GoobNe Chicken(굽네치킨), Toreore Chicken (또래오래)
- Half & half balance of thighs and breasts : Pelicana (페리카나) *3rd place in market share
- Breasts : Hosigi (호식이)
- Overall : MEXICANA
Of course, this is based on big data analysis, so it's just a reference. However, those who like to eat chicken drumsticks really need to avoid the specifically named brands or order a combination of multiple brands to eat with more satisfaction.
