Summer is coming here! If you just can't find the time to visit the beach, is there any way to enjoy cool water activities in Seoul? Underground shopping, ice creams, hanging out at the cafe can help get through the summer but you can also enjoy swimming pool at the Hangang. Hangang River Park opens on June 28, waiting for you to enjoy!


Hangang Park Swimming Pool

The Han River Swimming pool, which is a summer resort in the city, will reopen for the first time in three years this summer! There are four outdoor swimming pools scattered around the river. They are located in Ttukseom, Gwangnaru, Yeouido, Jamwon, and there are two waterparks in Yanghwa and Nanji that will open this year. All swimming pools are open for 59 days this summer from June 24, 2022 (Friday) to August 21, 2022 (Sunday), so come cool off at the swimming pool during the hot summer!

Children up to 5 years of age can enter for free.

Swimming Pools: Gwangjangnaru, Ttukseom, Yeouido, Jamwon outdoor swimming pool (9,630m² - 27,945m²).

Things to Keep In Mind

You must wear a mask when using indoor facilities such as toilets and changing rooms.

Users must wear a swimming cap to enter the pool.

The use of rubber tubes and swimming pool accessories (snorkels etc.) is prohibited.

Children and infants must be accompanied by a guardian.

Food and beverages may be brought into the swimming pool, but alcoholic beverages are not allowed. You are also prohibited from entering after drinking.

For every 4 people, one parasol is provided for free.

Users must follow the instructions of the safety personnel, and if they do not, the can be expelled.


1. Yeouido Hangang Swimming Pool

There is also a swimming pool in Hangang Park in Yeouido. In additiona to convenient transportation, there are parasols and sun beds you can rent. It is a great trip to enjoy the sun at the swimming pool and go to the night market in Yeoido afterwards.

2. Ttukseom Hangang Park Swimming Pool

I personally enjoyed the Ttukseom Park swimming park, riding the bicycle and swimming along side Lotte Tower was great. You can ride on a water slide here and enjoy the spacious pool. It's no wonder this pool is one of the most popular amongst the pools along the Han River.

3. Gwangjang Naru Swimming Pool

This pool is relatively smaller than the other pools, therefore it has more of an intimate atmosphere. If you do not want to be near large crowds, and want a smaller space, this pool is perfect for you!

4. Jamwon Hangang Park Swimming Pool

5. Nanji Hangang Park

This pool is a relaxing space where you can rest on sunbeds and cook ramen noodles at a nearby convenience store. It is not that spacious, and usually very quiet, so it is a great place to good and rest.

6. Yanghwa Hangang Park

There is a pool with a depth of 0.8m that is good for children to use, and it is created in a nature-friendly way in connection with the adjacent ecological park.
