Our Visit

Princess Hanbok was originally located closer to Gyeongbukgung Palace but recently moved its location to Insadong Main Street. The store is now more spacious so customers can change outfits more comfortably.

Princess Hanbok is operated by three generations of Korean textile factory workers since the 1950s, so the owners have a deep connection with the store.

There are hundreds of hanbok styles to choose from in the store, from romantic girl tulles to sophisticated, textured satin hanboks.

If you are overwhelmed by the abundance of choices, ask the employee for help and they will choose a hanbok that suits you best.

Choose a hanbok that suits your preferences or try something completely new!

There are also royal hanboks worn by kings and princes, so choose them if you want to feel regal.

There are a total of three changing rooms which are all very spacious. A hanbok is quite full in size, so you will need both hands to navigate yourself around. Store your belongings in the lockers before you head out.

There are also various accessories available for rent. Choose one that suits your hanbok.

There are curling irons, hair ties, combs, and more so you can style your hair.

Shoes and bags are rented out for free when you rent your Hanbok.

Once you're all ready, head over to the neighboring tourist sites like Samcheong-song or Bukchon Hanok Village, walking among the traditional hanok houses, as if you time traveled back to ancient times.

Or head over to a nearby palace like Gyeongbukgung and Changdeok Palace to take pictures!

This time, we have decided to take a leisurely 15-minute stroll to Changdeokgung Palace. While Gyeongbokgung Palace exudes a sense of political grandeur as the main seat of the king's power, Changdeokgung Palace offers a contrasting ambiance of relaxation and tranquility, making it exquisitely beautiful.

Changdeokgung Palace boasts an abundance of lush greenery, providing a refreshing and cool escape during the summer months. In autumn, the foliage undergoes a breathtaking transformation, with leaves turning shades of red and yellow, creating a truly enchanting and romantic atmosphere.

Moreover, at the far end of Changdeokgung Palace, you will find a picturesque lake adorned with graceful weeping willow trees, as well as a modern white house that adds a touch of contemporary elegance. These elements together offer numerous stunning photo opportunities, capturing the essence of the palace's beauty.

Princess Hanbok is popular among foreigners, not only among female foreigners but males as well.

Wearing hanbok to take pictures at Bukchon Hanok Village, drinking a cup of traditional tea at Samcheong-dong, your day in the Jongno area wearing hanbok will be unforgettable.
