Things to Keep In Mind
Pick-up is available from March 16 onward.
This is not a mobile pass. It is a non-packaged physical card that needs to be picked up on-site on the day you requested for pick-up.
Your reservation will be confirmed within 1 business day. Make sure to check for the QR code that allows you to exchange for a pass in your email inbox.
When purchasing once, it is possible to purchase up to 10 tickets. (There is no limit on the number of times an individual can purchase.)
Passes for infants and toddlers can be purchased on-site.
After pick-up, if the card is not used within 90 days, you can turn it in and get a refund at the Myeongdong Tourism Information Center. (Cash balance cannot be refunded)
If you cannot pick up your card due to flight delays, you can visit the card at an available time during the operating hours of the pick-up location.
A real-time foreign hotline is available on the Discoverseoulpass website or at +82-02-1644-1060.
You can use the app to check the remaining time and look for nearby tourist attractions. The app is available in Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese.
The time will start as you use it for the first time at a tourist attraction or a service (AREX, Ddareungi included). The time will not be deducted until you use it even after pick-up.
Rail Plus transportation card is functionally identical to T-money, but you need to first charge it at a convenience store (CU, Emart 24, Storyway) before using it. You cannot charge it at KTX or ITX stations.
You can talk with a foreign customer service consultant at +82 2 1644 1060 during customer service hours: Weekdays 09:00 - 18:00 (Lunch break 12:00 - 13:00) or visit the Discover Seoul Pass website.
If the QR code on the card is damaged, you cannot use the card. Please be aware of storing the card so it doesn't get damaged.
The operation hours can be different for tourist attractions. Please look up information about the attractions you want to visit in advance.
Unused cards are valid for 5 years after pick-up. The pick-up date is on the back of the card. However, the transportation card does not have an expiration date.
On the last Wednesday of every month, palaces and art museums have free admission. Please be aware and use the card to your advantage.
