Dongdaemun Hotel Recommendations 2022

Dongdaemun is one of Seoul's top shopping districts. Tourists choose to stay in Dongdaemun often because it's a very accessible area as several of the subway lines and buses stop by and also because most of the wholesale clothing markets are open from evening to early in the morning. Hotel Skypark Kingstown Dongdaemun

Hotel Skypark Kingstown Dongdaemun is a 4-star hotel located on the 14th floor of the Hyundai City Outlet building, near Exit 14 of Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station. The hotel is surrounded by clothing wholesale centers and good restaurants, making it a great place to stay if you're planning on shopping in Dongdaemun. This hotel has a total of 406 rooms and has a variety of rooms that include twin beds, single beds, a kitchen, a balcony, family rooms, and much more, suitable for customers of all kinds.

We booked the Residence Twin room for 83,000 KRW a night, breakfast included. Since it's a residence room, it was quite spacious, about 30 square meters big, with a kitchen and a living room. The room is not only spacious but fully equipped with necessary items such as towels, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, and more. The room was very clean and had a wonderful view of DDP. It also had plenty of power outlet sockets which is always a plus. We had the most comfortable stay.

The hotel also has several amenities for guests such as a gym, seminar room, spa, and a CU convenience store in the hotel lobby on the 14th floor. This was convenient because we didn't have to go outside to get food. The prices here are the same as the prices at a CU outside.

Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun Hotel and Residences is a 5-star hotel with a total of 523 rooms, all equipped with comfortable and modern furniture. Among them, there are 192 residence rooms in the form of small apartments with kitchens.

The hotel is just a 4-minute walk from Exit 12 of Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station and very close to DDP and Dongdaemun Market. It can be said that Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun Hotel and Residences has one of the best locations out of the hotels in this area.

The picture above shows the Superior Twin room, which is about 29 square meters. All rooms are decorated with luxurious furniture, true to 5-star hotel standards. Like other rooms, the Superior Twin is fully equipped with a work desk, flat screen TV, kettle, electric towels, personal hygiene sets, and more. In some of the residence rooms, kitchens and microwaves are also available.

Novotel Ambassador

Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun Hotel and Residences has both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The outdoor pool also has a poolside car where you can relax and have a drink. There are also other facilities such as a gym, prayer room, children's playroom to enjoy during your stay.

Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun

Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun

Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun is the 4th 4-star hotel of the famous Nine Tree hotel chain operated by Parnas Hotels. This particular hotel has a total of 219 rooms with a simple and modern design. Since it opened in January of 2020, the rooms and facilities are new and very clean. Located near Exit 12 of Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, it is near DDP and close to many shopping centers as well.

Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun

The picture above shows the Standard Twin room with 2 single beds at Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun. The room is about 22 square meters big with a minimalist design. It is fully equipped and has large windows that let the light shine in, making the rooms bright. To ensure a comfortable stay, the room comes with bath robes, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, an electric kettle, towels, and more.

Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun

Nine Tree Hotel Dongdaemun also offers other facilities and what stands out from other hotels, is their lounge, Lounge 9, which has wide glass windows that show an incredible view. It has a modern and sophisticated ambiance where you can sit, relax, and watch the bustling streets of Dongdaemun.

In addition, the hotel also has a business corner, for those who need computers and printers. There is also a coin-operated laundry room where you can do your laundry at an affordable price of 3,000 KRW. They also have lockers for those who want to store their luggage there.

This hotel is located right at Exit 2 of Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, the perfect location for those who are not good at finding directions! Just come out of the subway exit and you'll see the hotel entrance! This hotel is also located near DDP and is only a short walk from Dongdaemun Market and Gwangjang Market.

The room rates at Tokoyo Inn Seoul Dongdaemun 2 are very affordable while the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Toyoko Inn Seoul Dongdaemun 2

The picture above shows the Twin room. It isn't as spacious as the other rooms we have recommended but it is very affordable being only 70,000 KRW for 2 people. The room is decorated in light hues making it bright and clean. The bathroom has a bathtub so you can relax your leg muscles after a day of shopping and walking around. Though the room is cheap, it has everything you'd need such as air conditioning, a work desk, an electric kettle, slippers, towels, toiletries, and more! This hotel also has rooms for solo travelers.

Toyoko In Seoul Dongdaemun 2 has a few additional facilities to help make your trip comfortable. There is a coin-operated laundry room where you can do you own laundry. There are also vending machines, a sauna, bars, and more! The breakfast includes bread, rice, miso soup, coffee, and more.

I'm sure everyone has heard of JW Marriot. The JW Marriot Dongdaemun Square Seoul is a 5-star hotel located just a few steps from Exit 8 of Dongdaemun Station. It is a great location for those who want to stay in Dongdaemun.

The room above is the Deluxe Twin Room, which is 38 square meters big. It is hard to find a hotel room this large in Dongdaemun, or yet in Seoul. The room is decorated with simple, modern furniture and is equipped with everything yo will need. What's unique about the rooms in JW Marriot Dongdaemun Square Seoul is that they have a great view of the Dongdaemun streets and Heunginjimun. Heunginjimun Park is lit brightly at night, which would be an incredible view to see from your room.

Ramada by Wyndham Seoul Dongdaemun is a 3-star hotel located near Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station. Compared to the other luxury hotels above, the price is reasonable and the location is great. You can easily explore Dongdaemun and its surroundings including Gwanghwamun and Myeongdong.

All the rooms at Ramada by Wyndham Seoul Dongdaemun are bright and spacious, equipped with modern furniture. The room is decorated with white tones and bright wood so it looks elegant and clean. Euljiro CO-OP Residence is just a 3-minute walk from Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station. If you need a cheap place to stay but would still like to have clean rooms, this would be the best choice. The airport shuttle bus stop is just steps away from Euljiro CO-OP Residence, so it is convenient getting to and from the airport.

This is the Studio Twin room in Euljiro CO-OP Residence. The room is quite small, only at a 17 square meter space, but it is equipped with a kitchen with a microwave, suitable for those who want to cook simple dishes. This room comes with two tidy beds. Basic utilities like Wifi, air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and more are all available but you will have to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush. This hotel's strong point is that it is very affordable.

Euljiro CO-OP Residence has an on-site laundry room, where you can wash your own clothes at a reasonable cost. This place also offers Wester-style breakfast and lunch, and a 24-hour gym.

Despite the low price, the rooms are quite spacious. The Superior Twin, pictured above, is about 28 square meters with a fully equipped kitchen. If you intend to stay for an extended period of time and would like to cook your own food, this room would be a great choice. The room is fully equipped with amenities, you just need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

The hotel's restaurant serves a selection of local Korean dishes, as well as a breakfast buffet. In addition, Western Coop Hotel and Residence has a coin laundry room and gym for guests to use.
