New Year's 2018 at Lotte Tower was a magnificent one filled with dazzling fireworks and a huge crowd of visitors. Unfortunately, New Year's 2019 did not host such an event, leaving many to be disappointed.
Luckily, New Year's 2020 at Lotte World will be filled with sparkles! Although there will be no fireworks decorating the sky this New Year's, it will still be filled with many exciting features. ✨
2020 Countdown at Lotte Tower
Lotte Tower had to cancel New Year's fireworks last year due to the corporation's unfortunate event but luckily they will host a new year's event this year.
Lotte Tower has partnered with MBC (Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation) to co-host Gayo Daejejeon, MBC's annual music show.
The show will be broadcast on December 31st at 9pm and the countdown show will start at 23:58pm lasting about 5 minutes.
The theme of 2020 Countdown is 'STARRY NIGHT' which will feature a multimedia show using projections and lasers.
Because installation of fireworks at high altitude poses complications in cold winter, the fireworks show has been postponed to May.
