In the Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung area, it is common to see people walking around wearing a Hanbok, traditional Korean clothing. That's because there are over 100 Hanbok rental shops in the area! Among all these rental shops, we would like to introduce Haewadal Hanbok, which is located right in front of Gyeongbokgung Station. They are known for having a wide variety of clean, new Hanboks and a spacious, neat store.

As soon as you enter the store, you can feel that the store is super clean and spacious. It is about 224 square meters, and there are lots of different Hanboks and accessories to choose from! There are also 3 spots for people to do their makeup, so you can bring your personal makeup products and fix your makeup to your liking. There are also makeup products available to use, as well as hair irons and dryers for you to style and fix your hair.

There is a large mirror next to the makeup area, which is Haewadal's photo spot. The lighting here is perfect for photos, so many people will take photos here after putting on a Hanbok and getting their hair styled.

At Haewadal, you can get your hair styled to match the Hanbok look for a fee of 5,000 KRW – 15,000 KRW. Some of these hairstyles include a ribbon hairstyle, an updo, a traditional queen hairstyle, and a princess hairstyle. On top of that, you can decorate your hairstyle with the various accessories provided, such as ornamental hairpins and headbands. The hairstyle will complete your Hanbok look!

For a prettier Hanbok fit, you can wear an inner skirt under the Hanbok skirt, making the skirt shape more round and flowy, for a fee of 4,000 KRW. Creatrip members can receive this inner skirt for free!

Other Hanbok stores have Hanboks that have been used for a long time, so they are old and in poor condition. But since Haewadal recently re-opened, most of the Hanboks are in very good condition because they are new!

There are many items that can be worn with a Hanbok, such as flower shoes, a traditional Korean hat called a Gat (갓), and pretty little traditional bags that match well with the Hanbok. You can choose from a variety of sizes and types!

In the winter, there are thick fur clothes that can be worn over the Hanbok to keep you warm. Haewadal also washes and cleans items worn by customers before putting them back out, so everything is clean and sanitary!

If needed, the shop owner can speak Chinese fluently, so communication won't be a problem. The employees are friendly and will help you choose a Hanbok and style your hair! The shop owner is very kind, so if you are unsure about something or have any questions, feel free to ask the owner!

There are many places to take photos in a Hanbok around Gyeongbokgung Station, such as Gwanghwamun and Gyeonghui Palace. You can make really special memories in Korea by taking pictures and wearing a beautiful Hanbok from Haewadal Hanbok!
