The delivery apps Koreans use most are “Yogiyo” and “Baemin”, but for tourists, they are essentially unusable.
Why? You will often see people online saying travelers can order food with Korean delivery apps, but that is outdated info. These days, there is a prerequisite, you “need a long-term Korean visa”, and your phone number must go through “identity verification” before you can place an order.
Korea “Yogiyo”
Although Yogiyo does not require identity verification to log in (as long as you have a Korean number), after you place an order, if you want to choose pay on delivery, you will need to complete identity verification (online card payment is limited to cards issued in Korea and cards that have passed identity verification).
Korea “Baemin”
Although Baemin lets you order without logging in, and you can also pay with your card, but the entire interface is in Korean, so it is relatively difficult to use.
Looking at it this way, does getting delivery in Korea seem really difficult? Actually, there is no need to worry at all. With Creatrip’s delivery ordering service, you can place delivery orders easily and quickly, it is super convenient.

Features of Korean Food Delivery
1. Do they come back to pick up the dishes after you eat?
A lot of people have probably seen this in K-dramas, after finishing delivery jjajangmyeon, you stack the bowls, leave them outside the door, and the delivery rider comes back to collect them, right?
This is actually more common at smaller local eateries. Instead of disposable tableware, the restaurant plates the food using their own dishes, wraps everything in plastic wrap for delivery, and includes a plastic bag. After you’ve finished eating, the rider will return about an hour later to pick up the bowls and plates that you’ve left outside the door in the plastic bag.

2. Delivery Anywhere

Sitting by the Han River with fried chicken and a beer is such a relaxing, laid-back moment. Instead of buying fried chicken first and bringing it to the Han River, lots of people simply order delivery and pick up piping-hot chicken instead.
But the Han River is huge, so how do you set the address location?
And how do delivery riders find the customer in a sea of people? Along the Han River, there are designated “delivery pickup zones” (baedal zone). When riders see the address is at the Han River, they usually deliver it straight there. It may look like delivery goes absolutely anywhere, but remember, you’ll need to pick up your food at these designated areas.
